First Post!

Hello! Right now, I am posting from a Hampton Inn by an airport, where I am staying tonight with my parents. Tomorrow, though, I am getting on a plane to go to Ashikaga, Japan, where I am going to work as an assistant English language teacher in a junior high school! This blog is mostly going to be to update my friends and family on what I am doing in Japan, so it will not be very exciting or ground-breaking. It will, however, include a lot of information on important things, like food and cool animals.

I am not sure when I will be able to make a real post, as I'm not sure when I'll have internet in my fancy new apartment. Until then, however, I would like to leave you all with some thoughts on the pineapple Fanta I got in the hotel's tiny shop. I am a big fan of pineapple soda, so I am glad to have this. However, it has a distinctly pina colada-esque flavor that puts this not only far below Crush and Jarritos in my esteem, but also slightly lower than Circle K's generic pineapple soda. I still intend to drink the entire bottle, but it is not the finest soda of its sort.

Anyway, I am done here for today, and am off to mentally prepare for being on an airplane! I am kind of terrified, but also, I think I get to watch Zootopia on the plane, so it evens out.
